Abstract

Bij secundaire hoofdpijn wordt door een laesie een nociceptieve pijn uitgelokt, die via de n. trigeminus of via de C₂- of C₃-wortels de hersenstam bereikt en vervolgens de thalamus en de pariëtale cortex. De pijn heeft een signaalfunctie en is een symptoom van een ziekte.
