Samenvatting

De lever is nauw betrokken bij de voeding en het metabolisme van koolhydraten, eiwitten en vetten.[1][2][3][4] Dankzij de glycogeensynthese, de glycogenolyse en de gluconeogenese in de lever wordt de bloedglucosespiegel binnen nauwe grenzen constant gehouden.
