Inleiding

Een implantaatbehandeling wordt tegenwoordig als een routine-ingreep beschouwd. Door de stijgende indicatiestelling voor het gebruik van implantaten, is het aantal behandelaars dat deze therapie toepast fors toegenomen. Parallel daaraan is er een stijgend aantal implantaatplaatsingen via mucosale perforaties zonder chirurgische botexpositie, met een groter risico op complicaties.
