Samenvatting

Zoals alle medische handelingen gaan ook chirurgische ingrepen gepaard met onbedoelde bijwerkingen. Bij verwijdering van verstandskiezen zijn bekende complicaties, in afnemende frequentie: alveolitis, nabloeding, nervusletsel van de nervus mandibularistakken, lokale wondinfectie, halslogeabces, mandibulafractuur en overlijden.
