Samenvatting

Chronische pijn is de meest voorkomende klacht van patiënten die de fysiotherapeut bezoeken. Het rijtje chronische-pijnsyndromen zal voor de meeste lezers bekend zijn: rugklachten, hoofdpijn, buikpijn, whiplash, fibromyalgie enzovoort. Chronische pijn is pijn waarvan de hersteltijd langer is dan op basis van fysiologische herstelprocessen verwacht mag worden.
