Wat is de aard van het menselijk beestje? Komen wij ter wereld als een onbeschreven blad en wordt ons verhaal grotendeels geschreven door de sociale omgeving waarin we opgroeien? Of zijn we van nature goed, erop gericht om anderen te helpen en harmonieus samen te leven met de mensen rondom ons? Dit zijn fundamentele vragen die we ons kunnen stellen over de menselijke psychologie. We kunnen er uren over discussiëren en filosoferen, maar er is ook recent ontwikkelingspsychologisch onderzoek dat op deze vragen een empirisch onderbouwd antwoord probeert te geven. …
