Samenvatting

Een subjectief gevoel van droge mond wordt xerostomie genoemd. Dit kan een gevolg zijn van verminderde speekselsecretie, maar de klachten kunnen ook voorkomen zonder dat er sprake is van een objectief verminderde speekselproductie.
