Abstract

Cariës is de meest voorkomende mondziekte bij jonge kinderen. Het cariës proces is dynamisch en kan zowel verergeren als verbeteren, demineraliseren of remineraliseren. Cariës bij jonge kinderen kan, wanneer deze niet bestreden wordt, zich snel ontwikkelen en schade aanrichten aan de algehele gezondheid van het kind.
