This is not an academic text or a book on research on ASD. It is a well-written and interesting book that focusses on practical aspects of implementing an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) approach for children with ASD in educational settings. It is aimed at teaching staff and does a sound job of describing the practical day-to-day aspects of implementing ABA in real-life situations. The three authors are all special education teachers who work with Project REACH (Rebuilding and Expanding Alternatives for CHildren). This is an early education project based in Memphis. They have struck a balance between being succinct and practical enough to keep their focus, while providing sufficient detail and referencing enough useful material to allow anyone who wants to explore further to do so. …
