Samenvatting

Dit hoofdstuk gaat in op de begrippen ‘diversiteit’ en ‘cultuur’. Besproken worden aspecten die tot diversiteit gerekend worden en de invloed van die aspecten op de onderlinge omgang en de ergotherapeutische hulpverlening. Ook besproken worden de recente aanbevelingen van de WFOT over omgaan met diversiteit om aansluiting bij een groter aantal cliëntengroepen te garanderen. Tot slot worden aanbevelingen gegeven voor het verbeteren van de zorg en het onderzoek.
