9. Voorlichting en preventie

Samenvatting

In dit hoofdstuk wordt stilgestaan bij de stand van zaken in de gezondheidsbevordering en -voorlichting als wetenschap, en bij de ontwikkeling en de rol van seksuele voorlichting en preventie. Er wordt kort ingegaan op de rol van opvoeding en ouders bij wat vaak ook ‘seksuele opvoeding’ wordt genoemd. Daarnaast wordt het gebruik besproken van een planningsmodel voor de ontwikkeling van op theorie en wetenschappelijk bewijs gebaseerde gezondheidsvoorlichting. Verder wordt een overzicht gegeven van op dit moment beschikbare seksuelevoorlichtingsprogramma’s voor verschillende doelgroepen en thema’s in Nederland, en wordt kort ingegaan op de effectiviteit en de verspreiding van seksuele-voorlichtingsprogramma’s. Het hoofdstuk sluit af met een algemene beschouwing en een toekomstvisie op het gebied van seksuele voorlichting en preventie.
