Samenvatting

Men spreekt van ‘deformatieve plagiocefalie’ wanneer het hoofd van de baby is vervormd als gevolg van prenatale of postnatale krachten op de groeiende schedel. In ernstige gevallen kan functionele plagiocefalie gepaard gaan met asymmetrieën van voorhoofd, gelaat, ogen, oren, hals, wervelkolom, bekken, heupen en ledematen.
