Voldoet Fairburns Enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy voor eetstoornissen?

Samenvatting

In dit artikel wordt de door Fairburn ontwikkelde nieuwe vorm van cognitieve gedragstherapie voor eetstoornissen, CBT-E, besproken. De behandeling stoelt op zijn transdiagnostische model voor eetstoornissen. We gaan in op de sterke en zwakke punten van de behandeling. Aanbevolen wordt elke behandeling te beginnen met CBT-E. Bij onvoldoende snelle verbetering kan deze uitgebreid of vervangen worden door experiëntiëlere behandelvormen als schematherapie of COMET.
