Abstract

In dit hoofdstuk wordt ingegaan op diverse frequent en minder frequent voorkomende aandoeningen van de maag wat betreft prevalentie, etiologie en klinische verschijnselen. Tevens wordt een beschrijving gegeven van de behandeling en, indien zinvol, de dieetbehandeling. Allereerst worden gastritis, peptisch ulcuslijden, maagcarcinoom en maagledigingsstoornissen besproken. Vervolgens worden functionele dyspepsie en diverse maagoperaties en de gevolgen hiervan behandeld in relatie tot voeding.
