Samenvatting

In het classificatiesysteem van de DSM-5 worden de verschillende vormen van traumagerelateerde dissociatie beschreven. De ICD-11 omvat ook de diagnose complexe PTSS. Deze kennis bevordert het onderscheid tussen de diverse verschijningsvormen en classificatiemogelijkheden. Aan de hand van casuïstiek wordt geïllustreerd hoe je in de klinische praktijk dissociatie kunt vaststellen. Ten slotte worden de risicofactoren van PTSS en traumagerelateerde dissociatie besproken.
