Methode voor therapeutische milde hypothermie na reanimatie

Samenvatting

Op de afdeling Cardiac Care van de Isala klinieken in Zwolle wordt zorg gegeven na acute cardiologische interventies of bij acute cardiale aandoeningen. Daarnaast bieden we intensieve zorg, zoals invasieve en non-invasieve beademing. In dit artikel beschrijven we hoe therapeutische milde hypothermie geëvolueerd is tot een standaardbehandeling bij een out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Tevens tonen we aan dat koelen met behulp van een Coolgard^TM-temperatuurcontrolesysteem voordelen biedt ten opzichte van koelen met behulp van externe oppervlaktekoeling.
