Samenvatting

Inhoud – 1 Inleiding – 2 Hemato-oncologie – 3 Neuro-oncologie – 4 Solide tumoren – Een op de drie kinderen met kanker wordt in de loop van het behandeltraject bestraald. De combinatie van de vele zeldzame ziektebeelden en de grote impact van de behandeling op het zich ontwikkelende kind maken kinderradiotherapie complex. Dit hoofdstuk omvat enkele algemene feiten en reflecties rond radiotherapie bij kinderen, alsook een overzicht van de vaker voorkomende hematologische, solide en neuro-oncologische tumoren waarvoor radiotherapie-indicaties bestaan.
