Samenvatting

Traumazorg voor kinderen is de laatste jaren steeds meer in de belangstelling gekomen binnen de jeugdzorg. Onder invloed van rampen, zoals de vuurwerkramp in Enschede en de cafébrand in Volendam, is de jeugdzorg zich meer bewust geworden van het belang van traumaopvang en -behandeling in alle geledingen van de jeugdzorg. Was dit aanvankelijk het werkterrein van enkele expertisecentra, zoals het Instituut voor Psychotrauma en het Wilhelmina Kinderziekenhuis, na de genoemde rampen ontstond er een beweging om traumazorg meer te integreren in het hulpaanbod van de jeugdzorg en de Jeugd-ggz.
