Samenvatting

Een 63-jarige man blesseert zijn enkel tijdens een eerste zaalvoetbalwedstrijd na de zomervakantie. De klachten zijn niet ernstig, maar het enkelgewricht lijkt fors overbelast. De enkel is licht gezwollen en warm. Deze korte casus beschrijft een inflammatie van het gewrichtskapsel van de enkel ofwel een traumatische artritis zonder dat er sprake is van een duidelijke enkelbandruptuur of kraakbeenletsel.
