Samenvatting

Voedings– en/of slikproblemen overschrijden vaak de grenzen van één discipline (Bach e.a., 1989; Ravich e.a., 1985). Hierdoor wordt het moeilijk te beslissen welke medisch of paramedisch specialist het kind moet onderzoeken. Dit maakt de multidisciplinaire aanpak, die steeds vaker in de geneeskunde voorkomt, zinvol in de zorg voor kinderen met voedings– en slikmoeilijkheden. In sommige instellingen onderzoeken de leden van het team gezamenlijk het kind. Na het onderzoek en het stellen van de diagnose, geven de teamleden een gezamenlijk advies (Ravich e.a., 1985).
