2. Training: balanceren tussen belasting, belastbaarheid en herstel

Samenvatting

Training is het planmatig oefenen om sportprestaties te verbeteren. Belasting, belastbaarheid en herstel van de sporter moeten daarbij goed op elkaar worden afgestemd. Trainingsprincipes zijn van belang om trainingsprogramma’s goed te kunnen vormgeven en op de individuele sporter af te stemmen. Ook psychosociale processen spelen een rol bij training. Slimme sensoren maken het steeds beter mogelijk om informatie te verzamelen tijdens wedstrijden, de dagelijkse trainingspraktijk en het dagelijks leven. Het monitoren van training is belangrijk om het trainingsproces beter te volgen en waar nodig bij te sturen om prestatietoename te optimaliseren en blessures, ziekte en overtraindheid te voorkomen.
