In her book, Improving Services for Transgender and Gender Variant Youth: Research, Policy and Practice for Health and Social Care Professionals, Tiffany Jones (2019) sets out to educate service providers, professionals, and practitioners working with transgender youth, along with transgender youth, their families/guardians, general readers, and those in academia. She achieves this through research, literature, and interviews that are conducted with transgender youth and scholars, practitioners, and professionals within the field. As Jones argues, researchers who study transgender issues focus too much on pointing out problems and not enough on providing solutions; she combats this throughout her book by providing specific recommendations to guide professionals within their field and visions for the future of transgender youth. …
