2. Theorieën over implementatie

Samenvatting

Theorieën over implementatie geven aan onder welke condities de implementatie van een bepaalde innovatie succesvol zal verlopen. Zulke theorieën zijn te vinden in een groot aantal wetenschappelijke velden en disciplines. Een voorbeeld is de theorie over diffusie van innovaties, die is ingebed in (sociologische) theorie over sociale netwerken. Theorieën kunnen worden geordend naar het aangrijpingspunt voor implementatie: individuen, sociale verbanden, organisaties en maatschappij. Theorieën leveren gefundeerde concepten, maar geen enkele theorie biedt een omvattende verklaring voor implementatie in de zorg. Daarom wordt meestal een combinatie van theorieën gebruikt in de ontwikkeling en evaluatie van implementatiestrategieën.
