A randomized controlled trail was conducted to evaluate the effect of the Infant Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Program© (IBAIP) in very low birth weight (VLBW) infants. Positive intervention effects were found on mental and/or motor outcome at 6, 24, and 44 months corrected age (CA). At 5.5 years CA we evaluate the effect of the IBAIP on cognitive, neuromotor, and behavioral development. …
