Among current psychosocial challenges addressed by mental health providers and clinical scientists, addictive behaviors are among the most difficult to treat. Addictive behaviors, and their related disorders such as substance use disorders, are notoriously challenging given the complexity of their etiology and the limited number of effective options available for treatment. Clinicians and behavioral scientists are in need of interventions and techniques to support individuals struggling with addictive behaviors. …
