Samenvatting

In de dagelijkse praktijk gebruiken zorgprofessionals meetinstrumenten als ondersteuning bij het stellen van een diagnose en kiezen van een behandeling, om in te kunnen schatten wat de prognose is of om behandelingen te monitoren en evalueren. In de zorg worden meetresultaten ook gebruikt voor interne kwaliteitsverbetering, externe kwaliteitsinformatie en transparantie en wetenschappelijk onderzoek. In dit boek staat het meten bij een individuele patiënt in de dagelijkse praktijk centraal. Startend met de ‘waarom’-vraag leer je als zorgprofessional aan de hand van tien stappen wat je wilt meten, daarbij de juiste meetinstrumenten te zoeken en te kiezen en ze vervolgens toe te passen in de dagelijkse praktijk.
