Samenvatting

Hormonale acne is een moeilijk behandelbare aandoening bij volwassen vrouwen. Anti-androgene medicatie, zoals de combinatiepil, kan niet altijd worden ingezet. Spironolacton vormt dan een mogelijk alternatief. In deze CAT vergelijken we het effect van spironolacton op de ernst van acne bij volwassen vrouwen met dat van een placebo, orale anti­biotica of oraal isotretinoïne. We denken dat spironolacton een plaats verdient bij de behandeling van therapieresistente acne bij volwassen vrouwen met een contra-indicatie voor de combinatiepil.
