Samenvatting

De ontwikkeling van CT-scanners is gegaan van axiale CT (CAT) naar helical CT en recentelijk volume-CT. De helical CT werd in het begin van de jaren tachtig van de vorige eeuw gepatenteerd. Het basisprincipe is weergegeven in figuur 6.1.
