17. Somatische revalidatie

Samenvatting

Bij de revalidatie van de patiënt met niet-aangeboren hersenletsel (nah) is er altijd sprake van een integrale behandeling van de somatische, cognitieve en emotionele problematiek. Dit hoofdstuk is primair gericht op de somatische aspecten van de revalidatie bij nah, waarbij zoveel mogelijk de interactie met psychologische problematiek ter sprake komt. Bij de opbouw ervan is gekozen voor een probleemgerichte benadering. Het uitgangspunt hierbij is dat iedere nah- patiënt een zeker vegetatief evenwicht en voldoende mate van belastbaarheid moet bezitten om zich zo zelfstandig mogelijk te kunnen verplaatsen en zijn omgeving te kunnen beïnvloeden, bij voorkeur ongehinderd door complicaties zoals pijn of spasticiteit.
