Signaleren van posttraumatische stressklachten bij kinderen en adolescenten: betrouwbaarheid en validiteit van de screeningslijst CRIES-13

samenvatting

Vroegtijdige signalering van posttraumatische stressstoornis (ptss) is van belang ter preventie van chronische problematiek en om kinderen tijdig en effectief te behandelen. De Children’s Revised Impact of Event Scale (cries-13) is een korte screeningslijst om ptss bij kinderen te signaleren. Deze studie heeft als doel de betrouwbaarheid en validiteit van de cries-13 te onderzoeken. De cries-13 is afgenomen bij 395 kinderen (7-18 jaar) die zijn blootgesteld aan een traumatiserende gebeurtenis. De Anxiety Disorders Interview Schedule for dsm-iv: Child and parent version (adis-c/p) is gebruikt voor het vaststellen van ptss. De interne consistentie en test-hertestbetrouwbaarheid van de cries-13 waren acceptabel tot goed. Een afkapwaarde van 30 of hoger bleek de beste balans te bieden tussen sensitiviteit en specificiteit, en leverde een correcte classificatie van 81% van alle kinderen op. De cries-13 is een betrouwbaar en valide instrument waarmee professionals posttraumatische stressklachten snel en eenvoudig kunnen herkennen en kinderen gerichter kunnen doorverwijzen voor aanvullende diagnostiek of een passende behandeling.
