Schemagerichte therapie in de forensische setting

Theoretisch model en voorstellen voor best clinical practice

semenvatting

Persoonlijkheidsstoornissen komen zeer vaak voor in forensische populaties en worden geassocieerd met een hoger recidiverisico. Tot recentelijk was er weinig empirisch bewijs voor behandeling van deze patiënten. Schemagerichte therapie is effectief gebleken bij (niet-forensische) ambulante patiënten met een borderlinepersoonlijkheidsstoornis. Dit roept de vraag op of SFT eveneens effectief zou kunnen zijn voor de behandeling van ernstige persoonlijkheidsstoornissen bij forensische patiënten. De laatste twee jaren is nauw samengewerkt met Nederlandse tbs-klinieken om SFT aan te passen aan de uitdagingen die forensische patiënten met een persoonlijkheidsstoornis met zich meebrengen. Wij beschrijven in dit artikel aanpassingen van het theoretische SFT-model voor forensische patiënten en doen aanbevelingen hoe SFT het beste geïmplementeerd kan worden in forensische instellingen.
