Samenvatting

Gedeelde besluitvorming is een belangrijke opgave voor iedere verpleegkundige: samen beslissen is een centraal element van zelfmanagementondersteuning. Na de beschrijving hiervan wordt een model toegelicht van vier stappen in het proces van samen beslissen – dit aan de hand van passende interventies. Vervolgens wordt beschreven wat nodig is om samen te beslissen in uitdagende situaties en bij diverse doelgroepen te realiseren. Daarna komen specifieke belemmeringen die zorgverleners ervaren aan bod, gevolgd door de opvattingen en ervaringen van patiënten.
