12. Ruptuur van de pees van de m. tibialis anterior

Samenvatting

Tijdens het wandelen ontstaat spontaan een klapvoet en anterieure enkelpijn bij een 85-jarige vrouw die lijdt aan een polymyalgia rheumatica (spierreuma). Zij gebruikt hiervoor al jaren prednison. Bij het klinisch onderzoek blijkt dat er sprake is van een ruptuur van de distale pees van de m. tibialis anterior. Het hoofdstuk beschrijft de casus en het klinisch onderzoek. In de bespreking wordt dieper ingegaan op de bijwerkingen van corticosteroïdmedicatie op het bewegingsapparaat, in het bijzonder op de pezen van het onderbeen.
