In a world where a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) which include Asperger Syndrome (AS) the ratio of male to female varies greatly from one study to another with a higher prevalence among males, this book is very much serving not just the minority within the minority of the diagnosis but also captivates the core issues females and women are dealing with every day as they manage their way through the social maze. What a joy it was for me to find out after twelve years in the United States of America that someone else has some Hutzpah and honesty that can bring a smile to a face. Rudy Simone has done a remarkable worth noting work in her “Aspergirls” book. One of the first issues she presents has to do with how the diagnosis differs between men and women. For Ruby, it is not about the symptoms, diagnosis or label, but more about how it may impact the different aspects of women’s lives and the quality of these lives. …
