Refractieve chirurgie

Samenvatting

Refractieve chirurgie beoogt het beïnvloeden van de refractieve eigenschappen van het oog ter correctie van een ametropie. Drie aangrijpingspunten kunnen worden gehanteerd: de cornea, de lens en de sclera. In deze bijdrage wordt vooral aandacht geschonken aan de ingrepen door middel van lasertechniek ter hoogte van de cornea en aan de toepassing van (intraoculaire) lenzen.
