15. Reanimatie van pasgeborenen

Samenvatting

In de Nederlandse richtlijn Reanimatie van Pasgeborenen1 wordt gesteld dat de reanimatie onmiddellijk na de geboorte waarschijnlijk de meest voorkomende vorm van reanimatie ter wereld is. Geschat wordt dat 1 op de 100 pasgeboren kinderen enige vorm van beademing nodig heeft. Hiervan heeft 80% slechts kortdurend masker en ballonbeademing nodig en moet 20% (dus 2 op de 1000 pasgeborenen) geïntubeerd worden2.
