Psychologische interventies bij chronisch somatische ziekten

Samenvatting

In een psychotherapieaanbod voor mensen die lijden aan een ernstige chronisch somatische aandoening moet rekening gehouden worden met bepaalde ziektegerelateerde aspecten. In dit artikel wordt een aantal algemeen relevante onderwerpen beschreven die altijd aandacht behoeven in een ziektegerelateerde psychotherapie: educatie, zelfmanagement, leefstijlveranderingen, aanpassingsproblematiek, comorbiditeit en multimorbiditeit. Tevens is het van belang kennis te hebben van de (medische) wereld waarin mensen met een chronische ziekte terechtkomen.
