Zusammenfassung

Anliegen: PATERAS bietet HamburgerInnen eine proaktive Telefonberatung zur Förderung des Nichtrauchens in der Schwangerschaft und Säuglingszeit an. Das heißt, dass die KlientInnen nach einem Erstkontakt vom Beratungsteam angerufen werden, d. h., sie müssen sich nicht mehr von sich aus melden, sondern die (pro-)aktiv Handelnden sind die Beraterinnen.

KlientInnen: Die erste Kontaktaufnahme erfolgt über GynäkologInnen, Hebammen und andere Professionelle. In den ersten 13 Monaten der Projektlaufzeit wurden 98 KlientInnen erreicht.

Ergebnisse:Die Beratung wird von den meisten KlientInnen gut angenommen, ein sensibler Punkt bleibt jedoch die Zuweisung der Betroffenen in das Projekt.

Schlussfolgerungen: Erste Erfahrungen und Ergebnisse lassen eine Ausweitung des Projektes zu einem bundesweiten Angebot wünschenswert erscheinen.

Abstract

Objective: PATERAS offers proactive telephone counselling to Hamburg residents. The intent is to promote smoking cessation during pregnancy and in the first year after birth.

Methods: The first contact is established through gynaecologists, midwives and other professionals working with parents (to be) in this lifespan. Following their consent and the transmission of the form to the counsellors, the client is called. In the first 13 months since the start of the project, 98 clients were included.

Results: Most of the clients accept the counselling very well. A critical point of the project is the insufficient referral of clients by professionals.

Conclusions: The telephone counselling reaches a high compliance. First experiences and results make an expansion of the project into a general countrywide service seem to be desirable.
