Abstract

De mondholte en zijn organen spelen een essentiële rol in het slikproces. Een intacte anterieure orale sfincter (lippen) voorkomt anterieure lekkage en is essentieel voor de intra-orale drukopbouw. Het gebit is primordiaal in de kauwfunctie en het prepareren van de bolus.
