Open repositie en fixatie van malleolustertiusfracturen via de posterolaterale benadering

Samenvatting

Enkelfracturen met een tertiusfragment leiden regelmatig tot een slechte functionele uitkomst en posttraumatische artrose. Een anatomische reconstructie is een van de belangrijkste voorspellers voor een succesvol herstel. Recentelijk is er meer aandacht gekomen voor een open repositie en fixatie van het fragment via een posterolaterale benadering in buikligging. Deze benadering leidt tot een perfecte visualisatie van de fractuur, anatomische repositie en stabiele fixatie van het tertiusfragment met minimale complicaties. In dit artikel bespreken we de techniek en resultaten van dertig patiënten die we de afgelopen jaren op een dergelijke manier hebben behandeld.
