Artsen en verpleegkundigen hebben niet automatisch dezelfde kijk op optimale zorg

Samenvatting

Meneer Van Dalen is een alleenwonende man van 61 jaar. Een aantal jaren geleden kreeg hij maagkanker waarvoor hij geopereerd werd en chemotherapie heeft gehad. Kort geleden werden helaas metastasen in de lever gevonden. Volgens zijn huisarts en de oncologieverpleegkundige van de thuiszorg is zijn situatie ‘stabiel’. Bij een polikliniekbezoek in het ziekenhuis spreekt hij de verpleegkundig consulent palliatieve zorg.
