Samenvatting

Buitenlandse adoptiekinderen zijn afkomstig uit alle werelddelen. De meesten zijn te vondeling gelegd, verlaten of afgestaan en verblijven in een weeshuis voor adoptie. De levensomstandigheden zijn zelden goed.

De z-score bepaalt met hoeveel eenheden standaarddeviatie een gemeten parameter afwijkt van de mediaan; de mediaan komt overeen met de 50e percentiel, een z-score van –2 met de 3e percentiel.
