Samenvatting

De meest voorkomende vorm van kinderkanker is leukemie: ongeveer 30 procent van alle nieuwe diagnoses van kinderkanker is leukemie (Pui & Evans, 1998). Er bestaan verschillende subtypen, maar het meest voorkomende subtype in kinderen is acute lymfatische leukemie (ALL), een zich snel ontwikkelende en levensbedreigende aandoening van het bloed.
