Samenvatting

In dit hoofdstuk besteden we aandacht aan de overdracht en tegenoverdracht en aan de impliciete relationele processen die in elk contact, dus ook in elke psychotherapie een rol spelen. Deze thema’s komen terug in de door Ladany et al. (2016, H. 2) beschreven taken:

Focus op tegenoverdracht: bespreking van hoe en waarom de beleving van de supervisant wordt ‘getriggerd’ door het gedrag of de attitude van de cliënt.

Aandacht voor parallelprocessen: bespreking over gelijkenissen tussen een specifieke therapeutische interactie en de interactie die plaatsvindt in de supervisie.

De overdracht en tegenoverdracht zijn transtheoretische en schooloverstijgende begrippen die in elke psychotherapie een rol spelen. Tegenoverdracht wordt hier gedefinieerd als alle reacties van een psychotherapeut op de uitingen en het gedrag van een patiënt. Maar ook de impliciete processen tussen supervisor en supervisant spelen een rol en een deel van de processen tussen een therapeut en een cliënt kunnen zich herhalen in de patronen tussen supervisor en supervisant. Men noemt dit parallelprocessen (zie ook H. 2). De supervisor is daarin geen observator maar participant. Dit is een verschijnsel waarop een supervisor nauwgezet dient te letten.
