Samenvatting

Ouders vragen zich steeds vaker af hoe zij in de opvoeding moeten omgaan met het digitale mediagebruik van hun kinderen. Mediawijsheid, beschikken over de nodige competenties om zich bewust en kritisch te kunnen bewegen in een complexe, veranderende en gemediatiseerde wereld is in de digitale samenleving een basiscompetentie geworden die van onze kinderen tegenwoordig gevraagd wordt. In deze bijdrage wordt de stand van zaken gegeven van het digitale mediagebruik bij kinderen en jongeren en volgen adviezen voor digitale mediaopvoeding.
