Nieuwe mogelijkheden bij cardiovasculaire risico-inschatting

Samenvatting

Wanneer we de kans dat een patiënt binnen de komende tien jaar klachten van hart- en vaatziekten krijgt kunnen schatten, om daar vervolgens beleidsconsequenties aan te verbinden, wordt het mogelijk om gericht preventief te handelen. Er zijn veel verschillende CVRM-voorspelregels bedacht, die variëren in het aantal en soort voorspellende factoren. Slechts enkele daarvan zijn gevalideerd. Hoewel de roep om verbetering van de CVRM-voorspelregels al geruime tijd klinkt, is de bewijsvoering nog steeds beperkt. Nieuwe mogelijkheden dienen zich echter aan.
