Samenvatting

De navelbreuk of hernia umbilicalis is een defect van de buikwand ter plaatse van de navel, waardoor breukinhoud naar buiten puilt. Het buikwanddefect bestaat als gevolg van onvoldoende littekenretractie van de navelring na de geboorte.
