Samenvatting

Naevus is het Latijnse woord voor ‘moedervlek’. Meestal wordt met naevus een gewone moedervlek bedoeld, de naevus naevocellularis, ofwel een melanocytaire afwijking. Per definitie zijn naevi goedaardig; veel kinderen en adolescenten hebben naevi naevocellularis. Er zijn meerdere soorten; dit hoofdstuk behandelt de congenitale naevus, de atypische naevus, de Spitz-naevus, de mongolenvlek en de café-au-laitvlek.
