Nabehandeling van operatief behandelde enkelfracturen

De huidige situatie in Nederland

Samenvatting

Doel

Inventarisatie van de nabehandeling van een gedefinieerde operatief behandelde enkelfractuur in Nederland.

Opzet

Tijdens de Traumadagen 2012 is een enquête afgenomen bij de aanwezige traumachirurgen, orthopedisch chirurgen, aios heelkunde en aios orthopedie.

Methode

Naar aanleiding van een frequent voorkomende enkelfractuur zijn vragen gesteld met betrekking tot classificatie, operatie-indicatie en postoperatieve nabehandeling van deze specifieke fractuur. Tevens werd de geënquêteerde deelnemers gevraagd of er naar hun mening in Nederland consensus bestaat over de postoperatieve nabehandeling.

Resultaten

In totaal heeft 64% van de aanwezige artsen de enquête beantwoord. De Weber-classificatie wordt in de dagelijkse praktijk het meest gebruikt (70%). De gevoerde postoperatieve nabehandeling na deze specifieke enkelfractuur (Lauge-Hansen-supinatie-eversie type 4) varieert sterk. Oefenstabiele onbelaste mobilisatie voert de boventoon (60%). De meerderheid van de ondervraagden is van mening dat er geen consensus is over de nabehandeling van operatief behandelde enkelfracturen (91%).

Conclusie

De resultaten hebben aangetoond dat er geen consensus is over de nabehandeling van deze gedefinieerde operatief behandelde enkelfractuur. De meerderheid van de ondervraagden heeft aangegeven te kiezen voor oefenstabiele onbelaste mobilisatie.
