Samenvatting

Van het prikkelbare darmsyndroom (PDS) is de etiologie en de pathofysiologie ondanks veel onderzoek nog niet vastgesteld (1,2,3). Dit in tegenstelling tot de lactasedeficiëntie waarvan het substraat, de pathofysiologie en de genetische achtergrond bekend zijn.
